Probably true that a college education is important for most. For some it is not. Not a one size fits all.
Find something you love doing, bust your ass, do what you say you will do, on time, every time...profit. There is a really short supply of people willing to do that though.

I suppose one could graduate from college with minimal effort and not actually acquiring an education. But its like everything else, you get what you put into it. And if a true education is what you desire, then you will acquire that.
And people will ultimately discover one's level of education, despite possessing a diploma and acting a charade. As Lewis Grizzard once said "some people are educated beyond their intelligence."
