My take is UGA and UT fans are delusional. The road to the SEC East probably runs through Gainesville rather than Athens or Knoxville.

"Based on conversations with several donors, most of whom did not want to be named, there is a concern over whether Georgia as an institution is spending enough to keep up in the SEC and national facilities arms race. But the overarching concern is whether there is a master plan, or whether the school simply is playing whack-a-mole, moving deliberately from one project to the next.

“There’s a lot of frustration with the current administration and the athletic department and their use of capital, that has so enthusiastically been donated,” said Ryan Scates, a corporate attorney in Atlanta who as a student was on UGA’s athletic board during the 2012-13 school year. “UGA isn’t known for being a reactionary, second-rate institution. It’s one of the best schools in the South. So to see us get out-paced by Clemson, and Alabama and Auburn, in terms of (athletics facilities). It’s not because we’re at a disadvantage because of resources.”

Clemson winning the championship has them fired up. The wak a mole comment reminds me of USC forever

What I know of UGA Facilities is spotty.

Just about everything connected with football is top notch.

Their tennis center is best in the country
Soccer is Ok

Stegman coliseum which hosts M&W basketball and I think also gymnastics is by far the worst in the conference and probably bottom 5 in the power conferences

Our off campus football decision in the 40's was a debacle, and we are making the best of things. Hyman takes a beating on here and pissed off the 50 yr Ceuntury Clubbers paying a hundred bucks a year to sit west lower. We are light years ahead of where we were 15 yrs ago. We are across the board in the top half of the conference facilities wise, especiaaly the non revenue sports. John Palms and Mike Mcgee were not going to get us there. The bowels of the Brice need attention, but things are going well imop. What would you address?

To boil it all down, the guy that wrote that wants Georgia to have a sliding board.

The stadium must be upgraded relatively soon. It is getting tired. Parts of it are plain obsolete.

Hyman was horrible. McGee was better. He found Spurrier. Hyman road Spurrier's coat tails. He screwed the pooch in his handling of numerous matters. Put us on probation over the Whitney. Run off by Texas A&M. Good riddance. Tanner is head and shoulders better.

Hyman was a necessary evil. He served his purpose and moved on. Spurrier needed an easy job and got to make the rules.
