This may have nothing to do with the results, but I remember our baseball players in the past to be a lot larger.
Is there more emphasis on speed since the new bats were put in place? I know we saw a change from the "gorilla ball" a few years ago. But it's not like our smaller players are getting on base. If the emphasis is to use fast base runners over power hitters, shouldn't we bunt more since actual hits are pretty scarce?
Even the pitchers look smaller and younger. Maybe it's just because I've gotten older though.
