Does Napier make it through the week?

That's a tough one, but probably FSU. Going from an undefeated regular season to 0-3 in a loss to Memphis at home is pretty bad. Not sure what he saw in Uiagalelei.

DJU is a headcase, and any money FSU spent on him was a waste. Everyone has known that for years.

Napier won't make it through the year, and the difference is that UF is not afraid to pull the trigger.

If he were here, people would just be arguing that he needed more time.

Yeah, pulling the trigger early and often has really worked out for Florida.

The only difference is Florida can probably pull a big hire from another p5 school. We couldn't even get Napier to leave Louisiana to come here.

One could argue it's better to try for a success than stick too long with a failure just for the sake of some arbitrary length of tenure.

Ah. So Beamer can't beat teams with more talent.

Sure he can. And has. Numerous times. Maybe you don't understand what "usually" means.

But typically, if a team has significantly more talent, they will win the game. And it's "usually" not as close as the game Saturday vs LSU.

Now Napier has beaten both LSU and Ole Miss.

We are very lucky to have avoided UF and UT this year on the schedule.

Our schedule was still brutal without those teams. So we replaced them with Bama and Ole Miss. We can play with UT. We would have had them at home too this year. Napier did get it turned around at UF. They probably would have beaten UGA if Lagway plays the whole game.

Wells had a terrible game. Targeted a bunch of times and had one catch. I think he ran the wrong route on that last play too that ended the game with an INT.

Weren't we going to play Bama anyway on the rotation?

Regardless, Napier certainly has done an admirable job with his injuries and with that schedule.

Whatever. Replace with LSU and Ole Miss. Still tough matchups was my point.

You guys used the injuries excuse a lot last season.

Because it's a reason, not an excuse. Napier has done well to salvage the season considering both the injuries and the schedule. Of course, he has a lot of talent to work with, so that helps. He's not pulling a grad assistant off the sidelines to play QB.

Beamer had a grad assistant last season at QB when he went 5-7?

Can we get an update on whether or not we were lucky Napier thought he was too good for us?

Out of curiosity, why do you spend so much time on this site? Most of your posts come across like you're miserable.

Yes, we are lucky Napier thought he was too good for us. If he is struggling to get to 6 or 7 wins with Florida talent, he sure ain't winning here. And he went 5-7 last year too. Again, with Florida talent.
