I though our ladies played one of the best games they played all year. If UConn is going to play near perfect basketball like that every night, no one is coming close to beating them, period. I have to shout out to Khadijah Sessions because she has greatly improved from last year and over the last several games and it showed tonight. I think this is a respectable loss and not the win or impressive loss we were looking for, but we will be a better team after this.

Honestly, they played the same game that they have played all year. Maybe now they will work on some of the issues that we've been seeing all season. Turnovers, missed layups, and terrible ball movement have plagued our girls. That has to be fixed or we will finish the same way we did last year.

Yep...agree.

You guys have really don't think they've been working on it. Of course they've been working on their weakness, but they are called weaknesses for a reason.

you pump way too much poop to ever be called a sunshine pumper

I'm pretty sure that our team helped a whole lot in making it look like UConn played near perfect.

I don't know why you think that. We played pretty good defense. We didn't have anyone in foul trouble for a change. When they were shooting we got a hand in their face most of the time and they still shot. 60% from the field and 73% from 3. That is a shooting night of the ages even for a team like UConn. You just got tip your hats off to them for burning the nets like that. Maybe that is what we will look like in a couple of years.

I don't know how you can tell, with all the poop around you, being so far up Steve Spurrier's rear end.

I thought we played soft. Don't understand why Welch was on Stewart, after Stewart showed she could shoot over Welch. Also, it showed tonight as to how young we are. It seemed like the girls didn't know how to go about getting the offense going. The team didn't seemed to know what to do, except for Mitchell. Didn't seem aggressive at times and not enough hustle on the boards. The announcers pointed out that uconn. was packing the middle. This is very similar to what Mizou. ( I believe it was Miz.) did to us that gave us a hard time. I thought after that game that more teams would do the same. Pack the middle, be very physical and make the refs have to call the game. This game plan seems to be what gives us the most trouble. I think this game will go along ways as to what the team has to do to be the best. This isn't the tournament and hopefully will be taken as a learning moment for when it counts.

Stewart and Tuck can score pretty much at will on anyone in the country. There was nothing, SOFT about how we played. Either some of you all don't grasp how good UConn is or you just refuse to admit it. Yes, they are good enough to do this to the second best team in the country. The only team that can beat UConn is UConn. And they have only done that once in two years.

I think uconn. would've still won. Never said different, but our team was not as aggressive down low. It's my opinion and is based on how they have played against other more physical teams. Uconn. has the three ball and I would like to see what they have if the three ball is taken away. Either Welch wasn't very physical with Stewart or Ibiam/Coates needs to be guarding her, IMO. Here's a question, is Uconn. a physical team or a finesse team? I know that we are not a finesse team, which means we are a physical inside out team. We didn't seem to play that way when it came to boxing out, rebounding and hustle.

Well, they are definitely a finesse team. But are so good as scoring it wouldn't have matter what defense we played our how was guarding whom. Their execution is near flawless. And their starters play like 40 straight minutes and they don't miss a beat. There isn't much you can do against a team like that.

I thought we looked completely outmatched athletically on both sides of the court. They were much faster and quicker than us.

I wish we would played really physical underneath. Had our bigs played tough and fouled their center hard, she would have backed off. We could have fouled her a dozen times hard and still nor gotten into foul trouble. They would not call fouls on their center even when she slid over in front of our guard driving to the basket. Foul and get your moneys worth with each foul. The refs will consciously try to keep the fouls close. When one outside player can shoot that good, you have to deny her the ball. She would have fouled out of frustration if one of our guards was glued to her chest. Dawn will get all this corrected by tournament time. We still have some tough SEC games to play before the end of the regular season and those will make us better and then we see how good we are.

good analysis. I agree

This was the only game I've watched all year and probably won't watch anymore. Just not a very big basketball fan, men's or women's. From someone who knows absolutely nothing about basketball, it sure seems like we missed a lot of layups. Is that a normal thing for this team?

And, again from someone who admittidely is clueless about the sport, UCONN just looks like a machine. There's a reason they have all of the banners that they have.
