The board is deeply divided on Marcus Satterfield and all the chatter is only being
used against us for negative recruiting. The guy who makes the final decision
doesn't think he needs to make one right now and apparently the likely starting QB
seems ok with the guy. Can we give it a rest for a while - everything negative that happens
is not MS fault - next thing we see - he is the secret head basketball coach and has tied
Frank's hands. Apparently Connor has a vision of being the next Tommy Suggs in Insurance/banking
rather than the next Chris Rumph. I had a friend that was a basketball coach at East
Carolina and burned out on recruiting - said he got tired of talking/cajoling 13-15 year-olds.
I liked Kimrey but he made a lifestyle decision - maybe Marcus S. is an ***hole - but he is surely
not the only one he would likely come across in college coaching - see Jeremy Pruett/john
Chavis etc. While Kimrey is one of us and I hate to see him go - the candidates being
mentioned have far more college coaching and recruiting experience - so I don't see
how that makes the sky fall in.
