If he ends up at FSU, he could do big things for them and potentially cause them to be a favorite in the ACC once again. I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.

Thats what I just read as well, he would certainly be a welcome addition and give us one less question mark to worry about this fall. C'mon Golson, you know you would rather be a Gamecock than a Dawg!
We could have a good great season with him at the helm. Nothing against Connor Mitch at all, I'd take experience at QB any day. Hopefully if he does come to SC, all is issues are behind him in South Bend.
I don't get the we don't need him, "pass" posts. Especially when our starter has a career grand total of TWO completions and has yet to see the field against an SEC opponent. If nothing else bring on the competition. As it is all Mitch has to do is beat out a freshman who threw two TDs in high school last year and a walk on.
I agree. Everyone on here bitching about the lack of wins, then come on here and say we don't want a Quarterback that helped lead his team to the National Championship Game, versus a QB with ZERO experience. Don't understand at all.
If, If, IF.....we were to get Golson, and he became our starting QB, we would HAVE to get Mitch (or someone) some meaningful snaps this season or we're right back in the same spot for 2016 - Starting a QB who has ZERO game experience.
I'm not violent either way. If he doesn't come here, fine - his propensity to turn the ball over is a concern. If he does, then we have to trust that Spurrier and staff feel like he can help us and trust that they can utilize him in a way that he will make us better.

I don't think the coaches had a lot of confidence in Mitch last season and weren't ready to throw him out into the fire. I feel differently about the situation going into this season. If we end up with Golson he will share some snaps with Mitch and the following season we will have a much more confident and experienced Mitch going into his junior year.
Count me as someone who would love to have him. Know,I'm biased cause he is a local kid but can't see how we would turn him down.

If he was willing to come in and compete for the job I wouldn't see a problem with that. If he beat out any of our QB's with the limited time he would have here before the season, then we have problems that need to be fixed. If he doesn't win the starting job then, no harm, no foul.

A) I don't see Spurrier going for it just because of the drama.
B) Even if he did, I doubt Golson could learn a brand new offense in 4 months...at least well enough to become the starter (he's not Russell Wilson).
C) I doubt Golson would transfer here, or anywhere, unless he knew he was going to be the starter...which Spurrier surely would not guarantee to anyone

No He Would Not. Going after a senior dude like this for one year is not his style and everyone knows it.
Spurrier also wants to win a championship,and knows he as at the tailend of his career,and is willing to be more open minded to win
