Fans forced to stand outside in the rain until 6 pm, then it took another

you think the fire marshall just randomly likes to watch people get rained on? he/she has a job to do and being responsible for 20k people is a pretty important one. so dont come on here crying about getting rained on a little bit and acting like its the fm with the problem.

it was raining, be prepared, pack an umbrella.

Seeing as the CLA hadn't changed its format all weekend, yes it is the fire marshall's problem. I could understand if they just changed it and the FM wanted something inspected or corrected, but the arena had been in NCAA format all weekend. What else could the guy have complained about? Not enough salt on the pretzels?

Disagree, I don't see the FM doing his job as a 'problem'. Maybe something came up, maybe something got missed previously, who knows what, but taking a few extra minutes for that level of responsibility is justifiable in my opinion.

The problem here was an unprepared person who got caught out in the rain and wants to put all the blame on someone else.
He probably complains about the salt too and will be first in line for a class action suit against the vendor because of high blood pressure.

Thought the CLA handled it all very well. They had plastic bags for you to store your wet umbrellas in, and they had several people with mops trying to keep the floors dry as we all tracked in the water from outside.
Typical "glass half empty" post.

People were still bitching about the baseball team after back to back national championships. Some people can find the negative in anything.

Already a "Fire Marshall" thread and we'll never hire him. FGF is amazing.

Lol...he's just doing his job.

Just like when there's a fender bender on I-20 or I-77 and they have to close down all lanes and call hazmat to make sure there are no flammable materials on the road.

I could throw down a match and have the roads open in less than 10 minutes. But you gotta remember, their not only protecting motorist...they're protecting the environment.

Then it's off to the nearest Kroger or Publix or Food Lion...whoever has the most fresh donuts...to buy something to cook for dinner!
