Final USC 2 - Miami 0 - Koch hits 1st HR as a Gamecock****

A win is a win but a Holbrook team is as brutal to watch as a Braves team....do we have a hitter above 200?

Up to date stats including tonights game:
Caldwell .389
Cone .378
Destino .333
Martin .326
Mooney .308
Gore .286

Every one else in the lineup also has over a .200 average.

Ryan Powers that pitched tonight for Miami was drafted last year in the 22nd round (652nd pick) by the Phillies. He choose to come back for his senior year. Kid is 6'5" and changed speeds really well.

You left out Powers was also 1-2 on the season with a 6.43 era. The Redhawks also were 2-5 before tonight's game.

Yes Powers era was high coming into tonight. However, like most teams from up north early season numbers don't mean a whole lot because of the lack of outside practice time. Powers was also a second team MAC conference selection last season with a 9-3 record.

Normally smaller teams will throw their best first to try to get an upper edge for the first game... Why are some folks here running down this team. Kmart84 has given you the stats, all you do is poop pooping this team...

Although we only had four hits tonight, there were a lot of balls hit hard. The 1st baseman caught two sharp liners, the left fielder made several plays that could have been hits, and the right fielder made a catch up against the wall. Some nights the hardest hit balls are just right at someone or they make a great play. Seemed to be the case tonight.

Funniest thing during tonights game was when Gore threw the runner out at home, the players in the Miami dugout were already high fiving when the runner rounded 3rd thinking there was no way there could be a play at home. I think they were stunned.
