Some notes from a big Saturday in Oxford:

--Jake Bentley threw for a season-high 363 yards, the second most of his career and most against an SEC team. He was 27 yards short of his career high, 390 yards against South Florida his freshman year, and had 11.3 yards per attempt. That's a season high for him and the first time he had double-digit yards per attempt.

--Bentley is now 6th all-time in passing yards with 5,880. He passed Phil Petty and Anthony Wright on the list. Josh Vann also caught his first career touchdown pass and Rick Sandidge has his first career sack.

--South Carolina had a 100-yard rusher (Mon Denson, 102) and receiver (Bryan Edwards, 109). It was the second time that's happened this season and the first time since 2015 the Gamecocks had a 100 yard rusher and receiver in two separate games since.

--The Gamecocks had two 100-yard receivers in Edwards and Ty'Son Williams (105 yards), the first time that's happened since since Pharoh Cooper and Jerell Adams both eclipsed the century mark. Williams is also the first running back since Marcus Lattimore in 2011 to catch for 100 yards.

--Bryan Edwards became just the 15th player in school history with four 100-yard receiving games, catching for 109 Saturday with a touchdown. He's now on pace for nine receiving scores, which would tie for the sixth-most in school history.

--T.J. Brunson finished with 15 tackles, one shy of his career high, and the second straight week with double digit tackles. He's now at 64 tackles on the season, the best on the team. That's on pace for 96, which would be the highest since Skai Moore's 111 in 2013 and the third-most to lead a team since 2006 (Jasper Brinkley).

--South Carolina didn't turn the ball over for just the second time all season and the first time against an SEC opponent. It's the first time Jake Bentley hasn't thrown an interception in a conference game. His last turnover-free game came in the season-opener against Coastal Carolina.

--South Carolina had two passes of 40 yards or more Saturday, which brings the season total of passes 40 yards or more to six. They had four of those types of passes all of last season.

--Jaycee Horn continued his dominant freshman season with five tackles and two pass breakups. He now has eight of those on the year, which leads the defense.

--The full freshman report is here and the rest of the scholarship players to play are: Deebo Samuel, Aaron Sterling, Brad Johnson, Rico Dowdle, Evan Hinson, Javon Charleston, Israel Mukuamu, A.J. Turner, Jaylin Dickerson, Damani Staley, Mon Denson, Danny Fennell, Jacob August, Blake Camper, Kyle Markway, Kiel Pollard, Shameik Blackshear, M.J. Webb, Kobe Smith
