I can't take off work on Friday or Monday to ease the cost of flights and can't drop $500 for this weekend...
Just wanted to get this information out there if anyone is looking for ideas to limit the cost of a trip to BR this weekend.
There's a Delta flight for $238 to New Orleans. Leaves Monday at 3:45 PM out of Charlotte and comes back 11:18PM Monday. (Big layover on return)
Some other cheaper locations but you would have to rent a car would be Jackson MS or Gulfport
I found some flights that could work for a Friday/Sunday trip that are around $319. Maybe watch game on Saturday and do some fishing Sunday morning at Gulfport.
Best and easiest flight I could find was $377 to Baton Rouge. Delta 6:25 PM out of Charlotte.
Comes back Sunday morning at 7:15AM.
$377 for a flight and $50-100 for food and drinks on the weekend. A little too much to spend given the sudden change of venue.
I really hope we have a good showing in BR despite the horrible last minute changes.
