Could any of them be implicated in that mess? It seems every sports team at UNC is involved in that disaster. Just wondering out loud....

No one but one whistleblower or whatever her name was was spelled out other than the 2 proffs in the AA studies deal. The institutional control thing is what was delineated. Not sure if that will expand or not.

Anyone who was involved and came to USC...they would be punished...not USC. Let the hammer fall where it might. I doubt if UNC's problems will land in our lap!

Show me an honest college sports program and I'll show you some oceanfront property in Arizona.

But UNC has been the one that has been caught at the moment. They need to be hit hard, right? Or are you another Tarheel throwing out that lame excuse?

You are absolutely right. They got caught and should be dealt with accordingly. My point was that to make the assertion that the SC programs, or any other program, are 100% honest is ludicrous. We all know that where business and money is involved, there is bound to be some degree of "rule bending". Not one person on this or any other board knows what goes on behind closed doors. I'm trying to stay away from the "C" word, but as the saying goes, "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying".

Well UNC has certainly been trying for decades.

Well, they cheated 3,000+ students over the course of 18 years out of legitimate college degrees. If the Wainstein Report found problems with the African and Afro-American Studies Department, then certainly it is possible that this could be even more widespread at the University. They have cheapened their degrees all to compete in college athletics.

Not only are the student-athletes unpaid, but they are really denied an education because they are steered to take these phony courses and degree programs.

It's an opportunity for the University of South Carolina and University of Georgia serving as flagship public universities to step up on both academic and athletic stage.
