We could still host, and be a 2 seed at home.
Been done before.
We're ordering our tickets today. Back to Sec 4 Row 1 for us!

Rankings aren't meaningless per se. But RPI does hold more weight, and believe it or not, the selection committee will take into serious consideration that no one has played the schedule we did this year.

I'll watch baseball regardless. Not a lot of work will be getting done tomorrow at the office.

I've never understood the rankings. UT was supposed to take 2/3 from us based on their ranking. They did, with the tying run of the rubber game on second base to end the game. So we play them close, yet we still drop in the ranking. Makes no since.

Evidently they decided to go ahead and slip Nebraska and Maryland in so the Big 10 would have someone ranked since they will play no conference tournament. We just got bumped by teams that played no ooc schedule and will play no conference tournament. Meanwhile, Nebraska winning the regular season gets a week to rest knowing that have an automatic bid.

Reality is we’re not a top 16 team. We might back door host as a two seed but I doubt it. We might get a favorable draw and advance to the super regionals but that’s the ceiling for this team. For the most part it wins 1 out of 3 against the best competition. It is what it is.
