Sad news. It was just announced that the last surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd died yesterday.

Saw them at the Carolina Coliseum in the mid 70s. God bless Gary.

I was at the concert in Greenville the night they crashed. I've been reading a few articles today about the Greenville concert, most say that Free Bird was the last song they played. That is incorrect. The last song they played was a curtain call. We had been cheering for 5 minutes when they left the stage. They came back out. Van Zant said that they'd play us a new one but there where no lyrics, I think he said it was titled "Tom Sawyer.".
