And then in Public Universities, Clemson #21 and S.Car #52.
It's all a Crapshoot...
Isn't it USNews & Report that Clemson paid off to hike their ranking - there was some kind of collusion as I recall between CU and the magazine; maybe Clemson got a cheat sheet from USN&R? LOL!
Its all a joke. Shrink class size or increase a professor's pay and "boom" , you are all of a sudden a better university. If USC decided to decrease enrollment to the same size as Clemson, we would shoot up the rankings. Globally, we are considered better because of IB program. But ultimately, you should go where you fit in and are most likely to succeed.
Clemson can paint a picture....better than most. They all truly believe, like their president, that they are the number 1 university. Its a hell of a cult I must say.

Let's be honest about all of this. USC and Clemson serve different purposes as universities. For that reason alone, I try not to pay too much attention to rankings.
