Just checked with the Gamecock club and they are sold out for Texas A&M tickets.
So that's a bummer.
Our options are to try to buy from Texas A&M or change the away game choice to Missouri, if Missouri tickets are still available.
I was so bummed about A&M being sold out I forgot to check.
Anyone ever been to a game at Missouri?

I thought about the tour bus someone recommended on an earlier thread I posted but we'd rather fly.

I have been to both. Go to A&M and stay in Austin. It was a blast.
Missouri’s stadium was tired when I was there but I believe they renovated.

Cool.
Any other tips?
Someone suggested a bbq place about an hour away. I'll have to look for the name of it but it was supposed to be one of the best in Texas
Also looking to tour the campus on Fri and game on Sat.
Right now we are looking at flying in on Thurs and out on Sun or Mon.

I have my flight set for this away game...not worried about tickets so much. The secondary market is always reliable, although it can be expensive. But this is a one time shot for me - anxious to see just one game at College Station, and will pay what I gotta pay to make it happen.

That is the correct attitude to have - you can't take it with you.

I know I've posted it several times. Snow's BBQ, Lexington, Texas. Texas Monthly says it's the best in the state for about the last decade. Brisket is insane. I did not get the pork steak but it's supposed to be great also. Cooler of free Lone Star, line starts around 7-8 a.m. You can call ahead by Wednesday and they'll have it ready for you. Get your picture with Tootsie, the 85+ year old pitmaster. She's awesome. We got an Airbnb 5 miles from the stadium. Also, they have an Uber/Lyft lot for postgame if you don't want to hunt for parking. For fun, go to Dixie Chicken in Northgate. Lots of bars If you want more, get on TexAgs and ask. They gave me a long list. We did not get to Yell Practice but sat next to them during the game. Highly entertaining. But if you're staying in Austin (I stayed in College Station) you have ample places there. Franklin, La Barbecue, Salt Lick, Micklethwait, Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ.

Checkout one of the national ticket venues, such as Ticket Master or Stub Hub. Beware, they are legal scalpers.

Thank you so much!

If you're driving in from Houston, Austin, etc. They have remote parking at a large bank complex, on opposite side of the major hwy going through there (hwy 6?) from the downtown campus. Shuttle buses to the stadium. Beware the post game wait for buses to arrive. Start heading out a little early, if it's not a nail biter.

I've been to Mizzou three times, stadium on our side was not great, small restrooms, vey crowded concessions but the people are very nice. Worst problem, visiter parking, absolutely terrible. Been to A&M three times also and like a previous poster said we stayed in Austin every time , more night life and entertainment there, traffice is horrible, the last time we were there the taxi driver said 200 people a day was moving in to Austin. It is a fun trip. The trip from Austin over to College Station is not al lot of fun. Their stadium is one of the best in the country. Fun to watch the male cheerleaders leading the stadium in cheers.

Been to Mizzou the last 2 times and honestly I spend less there than here lol. Unlike the poster above me I've had no problem parking and thought the concessions were way less crowded than ours. Its never ever sold out. I bought 50 yard line tickets about 17 rows up behind our bench for $17.50 before the game lol.

Now the bathrooms for men were atrocious. I would welcome a pee trough over those things. They really are the nicest fans though. Its almost annoying.
