Its a sad story in many ways, not the least of which is the new one is directly on my commute route and the roads are inadequate. There's no public transport to the area. There was also supposed to be no tax burden for county residents but we will end up paying the $400m bond one way or another. Bottom line is the Braves wanted a bigger cut of non-ticket revenue than the city was willing to share.
 
Today that's the life expectancy of a stadium. 20 years. The Carolina Coliseum only made it 30 years.
Mayhap so, but I guess it depends on the location. By that I mean despite what you may have heard, I sure don't see panther stadium being replaced elsewhere in Charlotte. If they get bought out and moved to a different city, then I guess they might get a new stadium then, but I really don't even see that happening either. JMHOFWIW
 
My how the time flies. I thought The Ted was a very good place to watch a game, but I know it's not about that. it's about location, location, location.
