Good news for All Gamecocks

Equestrian Season is only 10 days away!! Then a mere 52 days until the start of Women's BB, wow didnt realize the interest would be lost in Football so soon..
Sports are supposed to be fun. Losing isn't fun. People lose interest when they aren't having fun.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but I think it's natural. It's just not that much fun to lose.

Win or lose, I love Carolina football and will continue to watch.
Unlike so many pu$$ies on this board, Gamecock football is important to my family and friends. Win or lose we will be there to support the program and will never talk down or negatively towards the coaching staff or players. As a former college player I understand the commitment and hard work the players put into their trade and it's pathetic for people who have no clue to come here and abuse the program. To all of the complainers on this board....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go ahead and jump off the bridge. It will make this and other forums much more enjoyable to visit.

Former college player...wow...we have so many of those on this board it's amazing. If you were a college player then you would know that the complaining also happens among players, coaches, and staff members on an every day basis. This board is not unique to the discussion of personnel....play calling....commitment.....it happens in the team locker room too....but I don't have to tell you that. You are a former college player.....

Completely disagree. Check out some of the other Gamecock boards. Guys on here are given ALOT of leeway.

Listen, this is a message board for discussing the state of the program. It's not in a good state right now. Why do people get so bent out of shape about what other people think? If you don't like it, move on. If you only want to read positive threads, those are pretty easy to spot. In neither case is it okay to call people names. It's ridiculous.

Get out of here with that crap. I'm glad to see we are a fan base that turns on the greatest sec coach ever after game 2... Yeah, that's going to help get another coach here. We will finish strong. We still have a chance at the sec. It starts with beating uga!!!!!!

The intent of this board is NOT TO HELP. It is to discuss, hopefully in a polite and decent manner. And the OP was being sarcastic btw. You and him are on the same side of this issue, so I'm not sure why you'd attack him.

SOS is one the best but the greatest? I don't think so, Bear Bryant with 6 NC or Saban with 4 NC would probably be ranked higher in the minds of most.

Spurrier is 4 years away from being in the running for that title. Especially if we make it back to a conference championship game during that time.

It makes sense. You want to live off other people's hard work. I can't say that I blame you.
I did quiet well for myself thank you. I would make comparisons any day. I retired 12 years ago at the ripe old age of 46......I do still own 3 mental health facilities in North Carolina(part owner really) but I am a hands off owner.

I am a member of Cockytalk and Gamecock Nation.....there are threads there (both) that mimic the treads here....get real.

That's odd. This is a "sticky" at the top of CockyTalk...

Game thread announcement/warning
We are cleaning up game threads from here on out, there will be multiple moderators keeping up with the thread and removing posts/posters as needed. This is the only warning that will be given.

Quote:
GOLDEN RULE OF COCKYTALK

Healthy debate is encouraged. CockyTalk prides itself on being a wonderful place to hold a civilized conversation. Please do your part to keep it up to code. Disagreement can take place without rudeness or disrespect. For your own sake, if you wish to continue enjoying CockyTalk, learn how to disagree respectfully. If you do not like a post for its content or its author, it's best to hit the back button on your browser rather than giving your heated two cents. Since you are expected to act like adults, any allusions to immaturity will draw the attention of our moderators.
As a reminder these are the rules most often ignored by posters in the heat of emotion during/after a game

Quote:
No player, coach or potential recruit bashing - This is a Gamecock site. We have players and player parents who read and participate on this board. If times are tough on the field of play, the last thing they need is to read insulting comments about it on this board. Let's leave the player personnel decisions to the coaches. We don't want anything we do on CockyTalk to potentially hurt our University.

No personal, racial or religious insults (flaming) - They have no place here. When in doubt, err on the side of good taste. Treat others on this board the way you would treat them at a tailgate. Don't hide behind your computer, just so you can act like a smartass.

No baiting (trolling) - Posting comments with the intention to draw the ire of your fellow board members is just as bad as insulting them directly.

I guess we can find out. Why don't you start a thread on CockyTalk about firing SOS. Let us know how it turns out. Maybe make a comment about "any coach with a pulse would...".

I haven't been to Cockytalk in a while. I guess they are turning into tiggletnet Jr. If a site wants a rah, rah, fan base then it will go of the way of GoGamecocks which I was a founding member of. I quit after they started measuring the negative content as they saw it. I am a realist not a damn sunshine pumper. I am also a former student (lived in the beloved Honeycomb) in the day. I see things, the way I see things. You have your opinion but it's not in line with everyone else on this board. You would make a great clemsux fan.....daybo worship would suit you well....if that's the way you want to look at the program. I was a Gamecock before Spurrier, Holtz, Scott, Woods, Morrison, Bell, or Carlen. I am still here and only Spurrier remains. He will be gone long before I am. My loyalty is to the university and not a coach for that very reason. Spurrier has my support as long as he is here but that by no means makes him the right coach now ! If you don't like my posts then by all means use the ignore button to make it go away on your page. That is an option available and I hope you chose to use it.....have a good day....

If you are a liberal after Obama, then you should check yourself into one of your facilities quickly.
I have as many problems with the Obama administration as anyone. He is the president so I will show respect. I don't goose step the Democratic or the Republican party. I have my own thoughts on many things. I tend to go the socialist route but hey...that's social security, medicare, police, fire departments, student loans, libraries, military, highways....you know your normal social programs in this country.

That Dale Carnegie class must have skipped your basic logic then.

Nothing personal mind you, just an observation.
I guess you are suggesting that Dale Carnegie was a conservative. I think people who think 'outside the box' are liberals. This country was founded by liberals. They saw the conflicts of church and state. They would have stayed under the English rule if they didn't want to have religious freedom. This country thinks only one religion should have freedom.....that's not what the forefathers thought. I wear with pride the fact that I can allow others to believe what they want and I can believe what I want. I think a lot of people have died to give me that right. I don't take it lightly and I never would.

Guess I'll take that rant as you're not willing to back up your prior comments. Expected.

I took a Dale Carnegie class some years ago & I dont recall politics entering the class at all.

I haven't figured out WTF you are talking about......I didn't start a thread about firing Spurrier....show me where I did....you can't. I took a pulse of how everyone felt about whether he should retire or stay. I NEVER once said anything about him being fired.....you're just not all there are you. Obviously not ! Read something first....then make factual comments !

Hey former college player......nice to see you back. I am looking forward to your many insights....you being a former college player and all. I'll be watching !

So, you with your own business/company, and you being a self-proclaimed "liberal", I assume you don't mind paying hellacious income AND corporate taxes. Tell me, are you an actual liberal capitalist, or are you simply an "outside the box" socialist??

Just askin, just askin.

I have always enjoyed paying taxes (insert sarcasm here). It's the way we do business. We all benefit from social programs and to say I am a hidden socialist would be a misrepresentation of what I really believe. I believe you help your fellow man as often as you can. I use an old analogy (yes, I made up). If you have 10 hungry people in a room and you took the responsibility of feeding them all. You know for a fact that 2 have eaten and can afford their own food. The problem is, you don't know which 2. That's a representation of 20% fraud. The answer is not...don't feed any of them....the answer would be to either find out who the 2 are...or if there is no way to find our now, you still feed all 10 because you don't want the other 8 to go hungry because of those 2. That seems to be the humane way. I know all programs get abused but people steal, lie, cheat....it's not an end all of the human race. It's what we are. I truly like to get the best bang for my buck and sometimes you have to concede that in this particular thing....that's the best it will get. Unlike the football program.......which can get better and we have to figure out how. Wow...talk about getting off track....lol.....
