or maybe because with the new projected TV deal. each school in the SEC might get upward to 100M each. Schools talk a big game about academics until big money is waved in front of their face. Amazing how the standards can change.

BTAA receives currently almost $10B....that B as in BILLION...academic research dollars to split between it's member schools annually. That amount per school is at least 3 times the highest anticipated amount that SEC schools will receive. That doesn't include what the member schools get through the athletic part of the conference. People either forget or don't know that the B1G is as much of an academic conference as it is an athletic one and has been almost since it was founded.
