How much longer are you going to celebrate Clemson's series win?
No one has suggested that beating High Point is a season changing win or will help our RPI at season's end. This was the 3rd game of 6 in 7 days, and it achieved several things.
1. It provided an opportunity to play a lot of guys who ordinarily don't play, that helps develop depth.
2. Winning by a large margin allowed us not to use our primary bull pen staff of Fiori, Widener, Schmidt, etc, saving them for the weekend series against Miami of Ohio.
3. Seeing a little offensive production is encouraging, better than if we won 4-3.
4. There's no thing such as a bad win, they all count at the end of the year.
Quit looking for the dark cloud in every silver lining, enjoy the win regardless of the opponent. We're lucky we had an opponent to play at all today. HP was scheduled as a make up game for the Davidson game that was recently rained out. Could have had no one to play if HP had a scheduling conflict.
