We add Key, and it should definitely be no lower than #2.

Good DT group with Wideman and Jones.

OL group is major too!!! Two 4* kids???Two high 3*...a Fr AA transfer!!!

DB group looks big time...especially if we keep Arnette and add Fenton.

When you have solid players like Nunez, Pittman, O. Johnson, and Neal that because if their solid verbals, they are getting little chatter, is a testimony to class
When you have studs like Blackshear and Whitlow that may be RS ... That is a testimony to the depth of the class at their spot as well.

Hope they can rush the passer IMMEDIATELY.

Hope we get someone other than Adams to coach 'em.

Hope we get someone other than Mumbles to coordinate them.

Are you CRAZY???

Don't you know there is to be positively NO good news regarding our recruiting. Be prepared to be battered by idiocy that has never worn a jockstrap except for 3-years of gym class.

Don't forget adding Derouen to our already good OL class...that guys a freakin' tank!

Hey we get that you don't like Ward but why the personal attack?

This is an excellent class. Football games are won in the trenches on both sides of the ball and this class is loaded with talent there. We can complain that teams like Alabama and Tennessee are recruiting better than us, but the reality is that Spurrier has done more with less than what we have coming in with this class. I'm excited to see what Spurrier can do coaching these guys. If we can get some additions on the defensive coaching staff like Spurrier is saying, then things may really start to look up again.

Poultry, if we add Key, you said no lower than #2. In your opinion, who would be #1? I'm curious to go see who they would have committed.

two teams we play... clemson or tennessee could have an argument. what hurts me is that we dont have any 5*'s

Agreed, though I think that in our class, Whitlow is extremely underrated. That guy is going to be a beast.

UGA has always had a good DE class. But they only beat us once 4 years.

Yeah, based purely on stars (which is all we really have), their de class is clearly better than ours. And before anyone jumps on me, I know star rankings don't always tell the whole story. But like I said, its all we as fans really have to compare classes.

Agreed. Good players. And we are fortunate to have them! But if people are thinking we are signing talent above our rivals. Talent that will dominate competition. You're just wrong. These guys can compete with anyone but its another middle of the pack SEC class who just happens to be heavy on DE's. How many top 10 guys in their position group? Top 20? There are a lot of top players out there. Look at our competitors commit lists and you'll see it littered with them. Not hating. Just telling the truth. Now if we can get these guys hungry and ready to knock heads off that will make a ton of difference. But I don't think our practices promote that too much.

If Key doesn't come to USC, Ward and Adams are likely on the way out also...

Judson and Others

If you are waiting to out recruit Bama, LSU, Auburn, UGA, etc you are in for a long miserable existence.
It will always be about have talent level that is competitive with theirs and play with a hungrier chip on their shoulders.
But the difference between a load of 4* kids like ours and a load of 5* kids like theirs is not really that great. It can be due to some talent difference; but most likely, due to geography, hs notoriety, push given by hs HC, etc.

We have quality players in positions of critical need. We can compete!!!
Players need to be committed...seems that was lacking a bit this season
Coaches need to encourage a Rocky Mentality
Coaches need to be creative especially in critical down-distance plays (Ie: 3rd & 3-4 Vs Mo & UT).

Come on Key & Fenton!!!!

I'm not waiting to out recruit those teams. It won't happen. And it's a huge reason traditionally their records are better than ours. But when I see a post titled "maybe best in America", it comes across as a statement that things are about to change. That we have something better than our neighbors. And as you called me out on and I even admitted its just not true. The others we play have as good and a lot of times even better players. So yeah we're heavy on ends and they are good players. But if the coaches can't motivate or coach better than last season it won't make a difference. Because the talent won't win the games for us. Not in this conference.

Come on fellas; it gets a little tiring to hear us predominantly speaking pessimistically.
We have a history of getting almost all--usually all of our committed recruits on signing day, right ?
And last year WE flipped several--including Dexter Wideman, and a 4-star db ( Chris Lammons) late, right ?

I'd say on the Arden Key, if it's meant to be, it'll happen.
Another post said:
We do get that a few loud voices don't believe in Ward;
but why attack our coaches personally ?
And if SPURRIER--who has done a helluva a lot w/ less over the past few years (minus 2014 somewhat);
if he is confident his present coaches can quickly get back to the three unprecedented,
11-win type seasons,
who am I to see him out the door this year ?
Until we have TWO non-factor seasons in a row,
Why not believe in our H O F (to be) Coach Spurrier's overall judgement ?
HE believes he can get back to SEC contention THIS year w/his present coaches.
And the coaches have been recruiting pretty doggone decently up to now.

" All things are possible to him who believeth."
