Headline on tigernet tonight, becoming elite

The Mighty Clemson Tigers will not start down the road to elite until they prove they can beat a top rated team on the road in the opponent's stadium. Not once has Dabo been able to do this. Boil it down and you are getting the same ole Tater pre- season hype in larger doses this year because they finally beat us and cashed in on the Tampa Fla recruiting base. Those two things will soon end and Clemson will remain ----- well, another ACC team.

The way you should worry about it is by taking care of your own business.....Then its not an issue what they post about the status of their program.....

Taking care of his own business likely wouldn't include posting much of anything on this message board. Doubtful that you or anyone else would be posting here much either.

They were close to elite in the Boyd, Watkins, Ellington, Hopkins days. We checked them every time.

This years team was the weakest they've had in 4 years.

You only listed offensive players. You're right in terms of offense. They didn't have a scary good receiver or running back like Watkins or Spiller, so they probably were the weakest offense they've had in a while. Their defense was a lot better than in the past several years though.

I think they picked up a couple of offensive studs in this last class. They also had a great offensive line class (I think I read 3 of the top 11 offensive tackles). Just have to see if they pan out or not. Clemson has had some success stories (Watkins, Spiller) and some duds (Bellamy).

They are always becoming something. No one outside of the upstate gives a shat about sCUm.

You guys can joke all you want...but with the players they are bringing in and the schedule they play they have a better chance of getting in the playoffs then we do. They bascially have to beat 3 teams while we have to beat 5 or 6 good teams. And unless we get a QB then we are looking at another 7-6 year. Dabo is doing a good job on selling that program as it pains me to say.

Clemson is like Kanye because you call yourself elite doesn't mean you are. It's when other people call you elite that you truly are. This was posted by Jascock an elite poster.
