What part of "as a young man, he did some great things" dont you comprehend? Furthermore, as one who has said a hundred times here that I dont like Trump personally and wish he would get off of twitter because he comes across as such an arrogant jackass. However, I agree 100% in the legislation - if it is what I think it is, and admittedly, I have not read it. What is racist about me, who is about to buy a new house, not wanting "affordable housing" built in my neighborhood? Why should I spend the large amount I am spending on redoing this house so that its value rises greatly, only to have project housing built right beside me? Sorry. I dont want that. If you wish to call me a racist for my thoughts on that, be my guest. I dont care if my neighbors are purple, as long as they are good people and take care of their property but I dont want "affordable housing" built right around the corner from me. See, there is a reward for hard work and effort in this country, despite what the democrats would have you believe. One of the key points to AHA is - "The most important qualifier is income. For most housing programs, the general qualification requires that the household makes less than 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) of that area to qualify." That is nothing but pure socialism. I cannot afford to live in the same neighborhood as my sister and brother in law. Would I like to? Sure. I would LOVE to. Beautiful houses in one of the nicest areas in town. I dont make enough to purchase a 800K - million dollar plus house, and I most likely never will. That is reality. Perhaps my wife and I could qualify for the AHA for that neighborhood. We certainly fit that qualification. Am I ever going to try to do that? NO. It has nothing to do with racism because all anyone in that neighborhood cares about is green. It has everything to do with the fact that I cant afford it. So, no. If you cannot afford to live in and keep up with a house in the neighborhood we are getting ready to move into, you dont need to live there, nor do you deserve to live there and I dont want you there. You wont be able to afford to keep your house up and you will end up dragging the rest of the neighborhood down, including me. Thanks but no thanks.
