I see we still don't have any coming in Frank's 4th recruiting class. Dozier is a nice player but is not a shooter. Maybe Frank's 5th recruiting class will finally address our lack of shooters...

Totally agree, because, you know, the goal is to MAKE baskets. His best shooter was recruited by Horn (ugh)...

Unfortunately, this team looks exactly like last years team. Like the rest of you said, no shooters and it seems practice does them no good.

Um P.J. Dozier is the 34th ranked player in the country. Will be the highest ranked player to come to USC since ... ? [Probably Ro Howell, but maybe have to go back longer than that]

Point is, between Sindarius, Stroman, Dozier, Silva, and Henry we'll have five top-100 players on the roster next season. It'll be the most talented squad we've had since ...?

That's great and all, but as noted before, this team woefully lacks a shooter, and Dozier is not a shooter. Instead, he's a drive and dish type... problem is, he needs someone to dish it to that can consistently shoot the basketball. No one on the team appears to fit that bill.

Top 100 players, and they're not shooters? How, exactly, did they become top 100 players, without being able to shoot the ball?
By being a lot more gifted athletically than everyone else.

Hey, get off Martin, he is tryiing to get the kids, but USC ISN'T THE TOP OF THE SEC schools .

I don't see a lot of people in sthe stands either that says to ball players basketaball is great here to the fans.

If you have a decent competitive team people will show up. No one wants to watch a team throw it around the circle and clank a 3 pointer. It should not be hard to find one pure shooter ins5ead of brick shooters.

Dozier is a good shooter, it's just not at the top of the list of things he does the best. He really does have a sweet stroke though.

If you are looking for elite 3 point shooters, better programs are likely to nab them all.

Do you really think Coach Martin recruits kids who can not shoot .Come on man . He knows how imporatnt making baskets are. .He has very hard job . We may all love this place think its the greatest place . But he has to sale it and he is doing a great job .
Is he frustated i'm sure he is . He sees them making shots when he recruits them and at pratice . Watch any game on TV shooting the basketball is a lost art .
But to ask if plans to recruit kids who can shoot . That's crazy I can promise you that is his number one goal .

Shooters have issues for many reasons - one of which is realizing if the miss there is a minimal chance an offensive rebound will occur that as well as getting yanked off the court within 5 seconds by the head man.
