Holiday Bowl Cancelled - NC State vs UCLA

Was cancelled hours before kickoff. Would’ve been a good game to watch tonight. Dave Dorean is pissed about it. Said there was no indications UCLA was having Covid issues until they cancelled. Not saying they didn’t, just saying they never communicated it.

Hopefully some of these teams that want to play will be able to fill a game down the road when an opponent has to pull out. It is pretty $hitty for it to happen hours before.

Bummer. The Holiday Bowl is almost always one of the best games of bowl season.

Really bogus on the part of UCLA. NC State and their families/fans had to travel cross country and in some cases miss Christmas with no notice from UCLA about a potential outbreak.

5 hours before game time... That should have been a forfeit bu UCLA...

NC State's baseball season ended with COVID at the CWS and now the football team's season ended with at a bowl game...

I hate to see what happens to the basketball program...

Also, read where UCLA was taking trips to Sea World and other attractions just days before they “quit” (That’s what they did…quit.) with no Covid concerns. Also, they supposedly sent their team managers to pack up all their equipment mere hours before the game without telling anyone. Basically, UCLA announced they were quitting as the coaches were pulling out of the parking lot.

I don’t think NC State cares about whether or not theh get the win. Nobody would really consider it a win by forfeit anyway. They wanted to play.
