How has Iowa lost 6 games?

Iowa is pretty good and Clark seemed to be able to shoot it from anywhere on the court last night. I think you just have to try to face guard her and make her uncomfortable anytime she has the ball. I think at one point in the 1st half last night against Louisville for all of Iowa's points Clark had either scored or provided the assist.
I dont think you can totally shut her down but we will need to slow her down. On the flip side, I dont think Iowa has the athletes down low to deal with Boston and Cardoso. If we can keep Clark in check I like our chances.
With that said, we have to beat Maryland first.

First time I watched her. Been waiting to see her in action and she didn’t disappoint. Was surprised at her court awareness and ability to distribute the ball.
they are impressive, i just don't think their inside out game will work the same with Boston and Beal on defense.
I'm certainly hoping we get by Maryland so we can see this Iowa vs SC matchup. Great offense vs great defense. The buildup to the final 4 matchup would be tremendous.
Remember that Iowa dominated a team that had 11 losses prior to last night's game. Iowa's girls can really shoot. However, they are really small compared to us and Caitlin is the only athlete that matches up well to us. We have to maintain competitive fear, but I like the matchup.
Iowa made 16 three pointers last night. I looked at that as 16 extra points and that is enough to change the outcome of a game.
I think Iowa would have beaten the other Cardinals (Stanford) last night. South Carolina and Maryland will be the only one versus two match up in the regionals.
Don't know why Louisville stopped trapping, when they trapped her, she was very uncomfortable and turned the ball over. I feel we have the defensive mindset to make her very uncomfortable
Georgia had Iowa on the ropes in their place in the Round of 32. Georgia just didn't have the offense to get it done. Game was tied in the last couple minutes and the Bulldogs turned it over 3 straight times.
They are not very big or athletic and the Big 10 was a very good conference this year. Ohio State and Maryland were Elite 8 teams. The Conference Champion, Indiana, was a #1 seed that got upset. Frankly, I was expecting a meeting with Indiana instead of Iowa. However, Iowa is what we got. Remember, all those shots they hit last game were open shots. Let's see if they can hit those same shots with our ball pressure. Had Out of Conference losses to UCONN, NC State, and Kansas State as well. Also, as a point of reference, Maryland beat Iowa by 28 in their place at the end of the regular season. However, Iowa got them back in the Big 10 Tournament. Caitlin and their Center are the real deal. The rest of the team, not so much. They are just stand still jump shooters. I say stay home on their shooters, make Caitlin get 50 and win anyway.

Yea, in all their loses Clark still got hers. You aren't going to stop her from scoring, but you can try and neutralize the rest of the team. And really, holding her to a bad shooting percentage is probably the best defense. She's not going to stop shooting on an off night - in several of their losses she had abysmal 3-point shooting. Let her use up all the shots as long as she's not going off.
