How will 107.5 spin this on Monday..???

Expect to hear the expression "baseball can be a cruel game" used quite often.

Couldn't tell you. No need to listen. We can see for ourselves that we are not a decent team this year. Looking forward to the tailgates these next two home series....and boiled peanuts!

Jay: "Listen people. I am the father of four daughters. I reproduced four times! And all four say that this program is going to be OK. And they are as smart as I am. All daughters. And you know that I used to work in politics. But without getting into any political discussion, I'm simply better than you are. So I hear you. I get it. But c'mon people, settle down, it's going to be OK." (Rinse, repeat for 20 more minutes) "Now Michael, get something playing on the 8-track. And someone hit me with a message, so that I can say Twitter."

SEC is a meat grinder of a league. Young team going through growing pains. Things like that

LOL. This is it. Spot on.

"I am not in denial in any way." "We are good eventhough we lose most of the time, even to bad teams."

"It's just baseball. You can't be good every year, and I have a good feeling about Holbrook and the program going forward. They've got quality guys."

How many games have ya won as a coach flyboy??
Of all the silly arguments used to defend underperforming coaches, this is my favorite. Let me try. "Oh, do you know more about basketball than Darrin horn?" That argument was a favorite of the dh deadenders on fgf. Or: "Brad Scott won a bowl game! How many bowls have you won?" Hilarious.

"well, the baseball regular season isn't important. let's talk women's basketball recruiting. I hear Dawn has recruited a 6'10 Kenyan who can touch the rim. let's go to the phones."

Any early reports of spin so far??

Thus far they haven't discussed it a whole lot. Just talked about it for maybe 5 minutes. More talk on the upcoming pacquiao-mayweather fight and the women's bball transfer. Also some talk about Ray Rice, the ESPN Reporter and Kurt Busch. Basically have seemed to avoid it for the most part in the first hour.

LOL!

"Hear me out, Michael. Let's talk about our good friends at the British Bulldog Pub. And, I think you will agree..."

Jay: "Let's go to the phones and _______, you're on 107.5 the game. Caller: "This baseball team has regressed since Chad Holbrook has been coach, and if I was Ray Tanner, I'd..........." Jay: OK, looks like we lost him, let's go to our next caller."

They've been avoiding the topic again. On the 12 noon show they were talking about all the proms this past weekend for god's sake.

I heard a bit of Heath Cline's show on the way home. He was talking about Mayweather/Pacquiao...asking if anyone cared enough to order the pay-per-view. What most listeners actually care about is the state of Gamecock baseball. No discussion of that topic, however, while I was listening. Oh well, at least he was talking about sports

I only heard a collective 20-30 minutes yesterday. Not one serious mention of the baseball program. It was like an internal memo circulated saying to make every effort not to talk about it!

I think they are making a concerted effort to avoid the topic. I rarely listen to that station anymore.
