I have been impressed with Beamer recruiting such a wide range of recruits

It is shocking to me to see us recruiting on a national level like this despite our recent lack of success. Beamer and his staff are leveraging connections all over the country and that speaks to the respect HS coaches have for these coaches even when they are not located close to their schools any longer.
Impressive....but according to some experts, these are all FCS type players.
There's an energy about him, and I believe his assistants are cut out of the same cloth.
Well, from the feedback of the recruits coming in for a visit, Beamer & Co. are blowing away the recruits. I believe it was Delp who said this was his favorite visit by far. I'm beginning to feel like he may be the best thing for Gamecock football. I'm not comparing him to Dabo, but he's kind of making me feel like he's going to have the kind of Dabo success with the recruits.
I just hope it translates to on the field success. I sure like the vibes......

1 thing that concerns me the last couple of years is NC recruiting. We dont seem to be getting anybody from North Carolina except for Koba. Hopefully Beamer can do better than Muschamp in the years to come
Looks to me like Mac Brown was successful in shutting NC down. Let's hope that Coach Beamer and staff can make inroads into that state again. Also the turdheels are on the rise and we were on the decline.

Shutting it down to us....Clemson is still getting who they want from NC, except for the LB who is ranked #2 in NC. UNC only has 2 commits from guys from NC. Everytime I hear someone state, Mack Brown has shut NC recruiting down to only UNC, I roll my eyes.....
Who have they shut out of North Carolina? Not Clemson, not UGA....maybe US? NC State is doing better in NC than UNC....

Ok so a very nice setting...but it's not electric like Williams Brice, Death Valley, Sanford Stadium, Doak Campbell, or The Swamp....you only go to a nice setting for a picnic...and UNC does not even do that well....When I was there, people were tailgating in a parking garage...LOL...
That very nice setting, is only good for about 3 hours a few times per year...LOL....

Maybe. It’s early, but I’m not sure at this point Mac has shut anything down.
They have plenty of time to get commits, but currently out of the top 25 instate guys, UNC only has two commits.
NC State has 6. UGA, OSU, And App St have one each.
Again, it’s early....but one would think they’d be rolling more early with instate guys.
Mack Brown will be 70 years old next month.

Yes he is older, but look what he has accomplished there in a short period of time. They would beat us handily IMHO. Now do I think and expect Beamer to change that, of course. The fact he is 70 doesn't mean he might not be there another ten years. The only reason he left before was for a better job. Now maybe he will stay until he hangs it up, not looking for the greener grass. How many recruits do we have signed from NC?
Maybe someone can ask Mac, when he will retire, and he can say he has 2-3 more years
