Funny. I thought sports was simply recreation. It was something people watch to make them happy. Apparently, from reading this and other boards, I am very wrong. It seems there is a whole group who enjoys "not enjoying" their recreation; it just isn't ever "good enough" (just ask all those "big school" fan bases who love to fire 8 win Coaches).
There seems to be a whole "culture" of chronic complainers; I hate what I am seeing, it isn't enough if my team wins, it must win pretty, and I find lots of fault with this, my own recreation.....maybe if your self image is tied to what your "team" does you need to find a team who is GOING TO WIN MOST TIMES. (let me suggest that for now you follow Alabama)
To those people; maybe you need a different hobby or need to redefine what you are looking for in "recreation" since this one brings you so much angst and consternation.
Nothing in life is going to be exactly how you want it to be. YOU do not have all the answers. Try to ENJOY your pastimes. If all they do is bring you anger; then get another pastime. If your team wins a National Championship, it TRULY DOESN'T MAKE YOU a Champion nor does your team losing 20 games in a row make you a loser. In the end, understand that EVERYBODY who follows "your team" also wants them to win; including the Coaches and players. There isn't a vast conspiracy to "rain on your parade".
