I predict that fgf will implode with

So it should be a win-win for the serial complainers. Bobo comes in and lights it up everything is good. Comes in and stinks it up Muschamp is fired. But alas, they will still find things to complain about.

Like the old man at the supermarket that starts arguments with the cashier just to have someone to talk to... these are the posters of FGF.

For the record, I think he would be an upgrade. Don't necessarily think it will work, but at least changes are being made instead of bonus and extensions.

People have delusions about who we can get.

I understand the frustration. I believe we should have canned Champ, but that's not the hand we were dealt. Champ is here to stay. In this reality, we are not getting a top flight OC. It will either have to be a no-name up and comer or someone who is damaged goods like Bobo or Morris.

Soon to be 3 in 5 years. I'm seeing a pattern. OC takes fall for lack of results instead of head coach

Well, he's certainly been given a long leash. It is what it is.

All we can hope is that the next OC is good. I don't care if we're good with Muschamp or without Muschamp.

Yes it might be an upgrade, but you shouldn't make changes just for changes sake. At the very least there should be a high level plan. Details can then be worked on in the near future.

Muschamp's OC's over the years...

2011 Florida Charlie Weis
2012 Florida Brent Pease
2013 Florida Brent Pease
2014 Florida Kurt Roper

Co-OC
2016 South Carolina Kurt Roper & Bryan McClendon
2017 South Carolina Kurt Roper & Bryan McClendon
2018 South Carolina Bryan McClendon
2019 South Carolina Bryan McClendon

How many of those are considered a good offensive coordinator? How many were hired as offensive coordinators by ANY OTHER SCHOOL?

Yet people want to blame the fans on a message board.

I have resigned myself that it will be Bobo. If things go sideways to down next year, I could see Muschamp going down. Then Kirby Smart hires both Muschamp and Bobo.

I think most fans are very aware that this whole process is putting lipstick on a pig.

My problem with Bobo is that it again looks like we didn’t put much effort into a search. We can’t keep pulling names off of the guest list for Muschamp’s wedding.

All that said, he would be a gigantic upgrade. We were completely lost this year.

The same can be said about Dabo at Clemson....

Who knew stabbing someone in the back would get you the head coaching job....

Don't kid yourself. They will make a horrible choice, because no real OC would come into a situation where the coach is going to be fired as soon as it is affordable.

Not true. If an OC does a great job here and Muschamp still gets fired (very possible), then the OC would get a shot at the HC gig... that is something most coaches looking at our OC opening believe would be a possibility

The negatives for Bobo extend as far as you say: he and Champ are friends (I assume...beats me) from UGA.

The positives: he has been a proven commodity at OC, he ran successful offenses at a high level, he oversaw highly productive RBs and QBs while OC.

It would, frankly, be a light year leap forward from what we had this year. Simply b/c he knows what he's doing on offense.

Bobo's offenses at UGA were productive. That is true. It could be effectively argued, though, that he did "less with more." During his years, as usual, UGA ran a ton of NFL talent through their offensive roster.

I guess for me its yes, he would have a better flow of plays than McClendon but I want some super innovative guy thats not Bobo.I like Kalen Deboer at IU Hoosiers.I prefer mucho misdirection and very uptempo with an experienced playcaller

Cool. What did you think about the Roper and Bmac hires?

So much this... there will be people tearing their hair out no matter who gets announced.
True. The best predictor for future behavior is past behavior. And best predicator for picking crappy offensive coordinators is a history of hiring crappy coordinators.

Not a fan of Roper but gave it a chance after hearing the stories that came out of Florida. Bmac I thought would work out better. It preserved some continuity to the staff and we were actually taking a chance on a young fresh coach. Obviously it blew up in our face but at least we took a chance on someone not looking to ride out the last years before retirement. I think he will actually be a good OC down the road just not here and obviously not right now.
But you were looking to instigate and troll not actually have a grown folk discussion. I have validated your trolling now so you can move on to the next person now.

New It doesn't matter who they hire. Mucshamp has proven he's the Problem. Let's just get next season over, and find out who's gonna lead us in to the future.

First need a new AD next year, they may be very busy, new football hc, basketball hc and maybe baseball

I think the chance that everyone thought we should take back then was with a coach that had experience called plays and had a history of success. B Mac had only called decent plays for a quarter and a 1/2 after Michigan started turning the ball over left and right.

It will be all the usual suspects saying they said this way back when. Yeah, they and about 3/4 of the board said it. They all like to appear to be Nostradamus. You know the ones.

Roper had a long history of failure. Before he was rehired, he only fielded one team that finished in the top 50% of offenses. McClendon was a total unknown and not the sort of hire you'd expect from a guy with so much riding on finally getting it right on an OC. Then there are the other coordinators that didn't work out.

So, it's not just serial complainers, or old men at the supermarket or whiners, that doubt Muschamp's ability to pick an OC. He has a relevant track record.

I don’t remember many people complaining when we hired Lou or Spurrier. People complain when you hire losers like Muschamp has been doing. People complain because we want winners here. When people stop complaining then you have a problem because that means they no longer care. When they no longer care they no longer give you money. Then Ray can no longer give stupid raises for stupid reasons.
