I sure as hell don`t want to play UNC in Charlotte. Still a bad taste from the Belk Bowl. Also, Sam Howell would run & pass

I’d be fine with it. Chance to get some redemption. What’s the worst that can happen, they beat us again? But if we could get them…would be huge for recruiting the area.

In my opinion, we should hope for the best bowl we can get. I think being an underdog in a bowl game is a good thing too. Maybe UNC will come in overconfident. We’d certainly be hoping to get a little payback.

We’ve fared well in bowl games as underdogs in recent history.

I'm hoping for a USC vs UNC game to generate some local interest and put fans in the stands. Sam will probably opt out with and NFL career waiting. USC would see probably two QB's that have not played more than 1/2 a game in the last two years.

Bama and Georgia in the playoff puts Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl. All SEC teams move up a notch in the bowl pecking order.
As Bama was reminding Jawja who the top dawg really was, I was was wondering how their getting into the BCS might affect our bowl destiny.

I want UVa or WVa in Charlotte.

I know this will not happen, but If, If, If we played Coastal Carolina in the Myrtle Beach Bowl, it would be one of the toughest tickets to get of all bowl games. Their stadium capacity is only about 20K. Instate matchup, ticket demand would be very high.

all over us. I`m not going to see that. Give me a lesser team in Birmingham thank you I`ll take it.
I have been surprised there has been no chatter of trying to get a Beamer/Carolina vs. Va Tech bowl matchup.

CBS Sports updated projections this morning has Carolina/Virginia in Charlotte. Interestingly, they have UNC vs Coastal in the Gasparilla Bowl.

I really don't want to play Virginia in the Belk Bowl AGAIN. I anticipate similar results as last time we played them. I would rather see us play UNC.

Any of these three teams have talent. UVA will be playing hard for Bronco, as he has announced his retirement. VT will be there playing for their new HC I assume? UNC won’t likely have their QB if he has aspiration of an NFL draft. Of these, which one is most beatable? Lol

I’d like to check out the new stadium in BHam. I honestly don’t want to go back to CLT, I didn’t have fun last time and honestly I’ve never seen a bowl where they didn’t even have t-shirts to buy.

We play our best ball when we have time to prepare. So, I feel confident about our bowl chances. Unfortunately, we get only one 2-week preparation during the regular season each year after the first game.

Well you wont have to deal with this guy if you play UNC...his running for his life ability has surprised me this year.

I think either of those teams would beat the crap out of us. Whoever it is I hope Beamer prepares for the game with the intention of winning it, not just to get "extra practice."

I was at last Belk bowl. It sucked. We need to come out both barrels blazing and smashing heads from the first whistle. Teams count on pushing us around early and taking our crowd out the game

North Carolina is number 9 in the country in Offense. They are number 87 in the country in defense. I have confidence in Clayton White being prepared. Satterfield has extra weeks to get his act together. If he can't move the ball consistently on that weak North Carolina defense, he will need to walk back to Columbia.

He should've had to walk back from Missouri.

I don't understand. So many FGF posters talk about uncarolina, the A She She, and how well SC would if it were in the ACC. Why are so many afraid for our Gamecocks to face an ACC team in Charlotte. BTW, I get it. It just ironic given so many past posts on this board.
I think it's more being bored with this match-up and this locale.

if it's in Charlotte I doubt many SC fans will show up, we always lose in that place and a game against UNC will probably get very ugly quickly.

Honestly 2018 is why so many don’t want to go. Then what happened right after that in 2019 there. That was enough Charlotte for me for a long time. But I’m going because I love the abuse I guess.

I love this matchup. UNC has no defense (and no DC) - this is what a team with a suspect offense needs to play against.
Seem to recall our fans saying the same thing about Missouri. They are ranked 59th in Total Offense and 111th in Total Defense.

How did that work out? We are somehow going to do better vs the team with 9th ranked offense and the 87th ranked defense. LMAO

And, for those seeking revenge or redemption, UNC will be motivated to prove that their win in 2018 was not a fluke and that they still own the Carolinas.

My estimate is a 50% chance of winning. However, I think CSB will get the team ready for them. Is there a betting line yet?

Did you know that you and everyone who agrees with you are being labeled "wussies" elsewhere on the board?🎂 I know you are proud of being recognized in such a complimentary way.🤣

Mizzou is more than 20 spots below UNC in total defense and we couldn’t break 30pts against them. UNC has a top 15 offense. I’m sure we will need to break 30 to beat them. We’ve done that once this season against P5 competition.

Yes, but the one thing USC can’t beat is good defense. UNC just fired their guy - so if Satterfield is going to prove he’s worth it, now is the time. They should play ball control offense and keep it away from UNC. It’s a very even matchup to mosto people’s surprise (especially after the preseason rankings).
