I think any Gamecock fan that thinks anything else other than this game is going to be a very tough game- a very difficult effort is fooling themselves.

UNC has a solid QB, a solid offensive line, and a solid running game.

They have less questions marks going into this game than we do. It's going to be tough- very tough.

Doesn't post-game, "told you so" back-patting require an actual prediction before the game is played? All you posted were headlines leading up to the contest.

Everyone knew it was going to be a tough game. The Tar Heels were favored to win.

Not to mention, our defense gave up 31pts. The over/under was 63.

The story of the game was not UNC's solid QB, running game and offensive line. It was our inept offensive line and running game. They don't even score 31 if our offense was more consistent.

No, giving an actual score prediction is absolutely worthless. I prefer general thoughts on an upcoming game over mindless score predictions.

everyone didn't.

All of Media wants to talk about how good Drake Maye is as QB. And how SC needs to worry about him.
What they all seem to forget is where he is playing at, the ACC.

I do not see why they consider him so good. He does not win against schools with decent records.

I think after we come out and beat them down, the media might pay more attention to what Beamer is building here.

Its that time of year... pump up the ACC.

UNC gave up a lot of points last year, including 61 to App St early on. I don't see their defense being any better this year. We should be able to score a lot on them.

I'll have to remember that. Quote headlines, ride the favorite and back-pat most Sundays. :)

Here's some mindless thoughts:

Rattler was 30 of 39 with no interceptions and 353 yards.

Maye was 24 of 32 with two interceptions and 269 yards.

UNC ran for 168 yards while we had -2.

Still believe your general thought headlines were the story of the game?

Drake Maye throws 2 TDs, North Carolina has 9 sacks in 31-17 win over South Carolina
South Carolina's issues on the offensive line are exposed and with a non-existent running game,

Riding start of season optimism: USC 34-24

But you go ahead with 143 score predictions. It's who you are. LOL

I know you want to make this about UNC for some reason. However, it was our OL and lack of running that was the story of the game. I'm not stating anything novel. The announcers were highlighting basic mistakes our line was making all night.

UNC is a pretty decent team that played decently but we controlled our own fate in that game. Rattler outplayed Maye even with the total lack of pocket. Our defense bent but gave us a clear path to win the game.

We just didn't produce - clear weaknesses that would be weaknesses on most P5 teams. There needs to be significant adjustments if we expect to compete with most SEC teams.

You're overlooking the very pathetic play of our Dline as well. they were as bad as Oline. No sacks and very few hurries. And they gave up a lot of rushing yards. The defensive backfield was awful as well. Terrible coverage and they looked lost much of the time like they didn't know what was going on. This was a total pathetic effort by the entire team.

They certainly weren't great but did give us several chances to get back in the game even in the 4th. Losing our best defender on the first series stung as well as the loss of Burch.

UNC had a good offense and the over/under going in was 63 so they basically held serve. If the offense had been more productive and kept them off the field a little more, things might have looked different.
