I was hoping before the season ever started that this team could get back

to a Super Regional. But after some of the loss we incurred at the beginning and middle of the season I didn't think there was anyway we would even make the playoffs.

But, regardless of tonight's results this team has exceeded my expectations.

Congratulations to the USC baseball team and Coach Kingston.

Heading into this season, I thought simply making the tournament would be a huge step forward for the program.

I think the thing I am most impressed with, and it has been fun to watch develop throughout the season, is I think we are getting our "attitude" back. When we were rolling we had the "it" factor and there was a belief we were going to win every game.

We lost that over the last few years but regardless of tonight, we are getting that back. Think Kingston is the right hire to get us back to where Coach Tanner had us, the top of the baseball world.

Some of this might have been posted later tonight or tomorrow. The season is still on. This "whatever happens tonight" stuff seems, well, I don't know - fatalistic.
