O'Connor has a "longevity clause" that kicks in on June 15 of this year (it part of the reworked contract and pays him 250K. If he stays until 2021 there is another one that pays him 500K. He also has a 400K buyout clause as well. He and Ray may have talked through back channels about how to approach this and whether to let it kick in and be part of the buyout or do the honorable thing and just decline it and walk.
