Sounds good, but hasn’t exactly paid off for us over the 30 years of results we have to look at.
I just put a generic possibility. Of course with pods there’s no telling who we could get but you won’t play everyone and “divisions” won’t look the same. While the conference does tend to pair us with Kentucky there’s no guarantee we would play every season with the addition of 2 new teams
No possible scheduling scenario related to OU/UT joining the league would look anything like that for SC.
I put 10 conference games. There will likely be 8-9 and while it’s extreme, someone gets hammered every year. When we had our best team we played Georgia, Florida and LSU back to back to back.
You’re assuming East and west will stay the same with no changes. Not even sure it does. But if it does, 2 teams swing east. If that’s Alabama and Auburn, that’s a huge swing.
There will be nine on Year One of the new alignment.
