BAW is actually down from where he finished last year at. I don't think the Carson move will help us out any and I'm not sure what the deal is with English unless he's just going to be a situational pass rusher at the most. I really hope J. Smith can help out some at FS with the only option we have right now being DJ. I really hope T. Boyd can come in and lock down the SS spot. If he can come in and play like the staff hopes I really think this secondary can be really good this year. Our safety play was horrendous last year.

Darius English was a project who we thought could develop like Devin Taylor did. Unfortunately I don't think English is even a D1 prospect at this point. He cant run in a straight line without falling down. Has zero agility and is undersized.

Right now Covington is a project at 230 pounds at defensive end and being 20 years old.

Don't disagree with you about Covington. I haven't really seen him play. I've seen English though, honestly don't think he could play for a low level ACC team.

The kid needs to bulk up and play End, or start working out as a middle linebacker.

Chose us over Arkansas fwiw. Was a Parade All-American too but obviously hasn't lived up to that hype.

That's not an impressive list, some good schools and some not so good ones. English play on the field speaks for itself.
