IPTAY has big year....still not in our league...

Not long ago, the clemsux students were upset because there was an automatic tuition fee for every student, and I think it was sports related. Wasn't it iptay?

There was talk of adding an athletics fee, but I do not think it was put in place. Clemson is the only public school in the conference that still has free tickets for students.

Was that $30 mil from GC Club dues or does it represent ALL AD revenue? Not sure we're really talking apples to apples.
Come on, guys. This dude's on post #5 and questioning our figures. We've got to validate those figures for him!!!!! He's a VIP....

It would be if it were true, but the real number for Carolina is 13.8 million for the Gamecock Club and 25.5 million for Iptay.

Well I noticed there wasn't a link in the T-Net article, but seeing as you have "link" in your username maybe you can provide one? And while you're at it maybe one for your Gamecock numbers also???

Hell I donated #1,000,000.

See how easy this is.

Here 'tis! Not knocking Carolina, as you have obviously done a good job with your revenue stream. The reference is about half way down the article. I think this info is for 2014.

Got quiet around here pretty quick.
We're destroying y'all in revenue. Here are the facts:

South Carolina FYE June 2013

Clemson FYE June 2013

As you can see, 2 years ago South Carolina brought in over 90 mil while Clemson was well under 80 mil. That gap continues to widen. In FYE June 2014, the year myrtle was talking about, we brought in over 98 mil. Clemson's report has yet to post. But you can easily see the 30 mil number that myrtle referenced. The 13.8 mil talked about by the Clemson fan was contributions to football only.

Lol, you're comparing apples to oranges. The gamecock club contributions don't include any major gifts or direct contributions to the athletic department. They only include the scholarship levels gamecock club members purchase to receive tickets. IPTAY includes ALL giving. See link, we dominate you in revenue AND contributions.

No one is saying that Clemson has more revenue that South Carolina. I just wanted to know what the numbers were for rank and file annual dues contributions. Looks like from the numbers released by IPTAY and from the Greenville News, for 2014 GCC had 13.8 million in annual dues giving and for 2015 IPTAY had 25.5 million in annual dues giving.

Typical lack of understanding all the way around........it really does not matter if you make $10 if you spend $20. Both schools have invested in facilities and upgrades but which one is deeper in debt? Both are public, the figures are out there.

So you are saying that the Gamecock Club's revenue is for football only. That is incorrect according to every report that I have seen that mentions the Gamecock Club specifically. If I am not mistaken, the original post referenced IPTAY and if you want to compare apples to apples I think you have to compare it to the GC Club. You are also comparing schools whose enrollment over the years has been drastically different, with Carolina having many more graduates and ultimately a much larger base than Clemson.

Neither did the IPTAY figure of $25.5 million.......... the total figure with major gifts & direct contributions is over $60 million.........

Yes, I read that. Sounds like you're in the midst of a fundraising campaign to pay for facility upgrades that are in dire need of improvement. As you know we've already done that. I'm also sure you know that our athletics facilities(baseball, basketball, indoor facility, student academic facility, administration facility, etc etc) are far superior to yours. You're just know playing catch up.

Point is that average yearly contributions to USC athletics far exceeds Clemson's.....

Hmmm.... Clemson renovated locker rooms, weight rooms, coaches offices, practice fields, added indoor practice facility before USC, which USC subsequently borrowed neighborhood of $154 million in state bonds to copy cat and improve other sports facilities as well.....

Breaking ground on new $60 million dollar football operations building in 4 months and Dabo's gulf stream should should be hitting the paint shop soon for soon for tiger paws........ But yeah, you're far superior in facilities and it shows. Y'all are killing us in football recruiting, earlier today Nyles Pinckney picked the Gamecocks over Clemson.

Seriously though, I know the Dodie is really nice as is the new AD building (which had been about the worst in division 1 athletics until the new,one was, built) and the baseball & softball stadiums are second to none. I think Colonial Life is very nice, and it's one of the reasons I'm very skeptical of Clemson borrowing a bunch of money to invest in basketball. South Carolina and Georgia Tech both ponied up for new basketball arenas and both basketball programs have been on the decline ever since.

Post #16? Nice! Dont be jealous of our facilities. Try to keep up...if you can.
