Thoughts about this guy. He seems to be a great athlete as a hitter, pitcher, and fielder. I always wondered what it would've been like had the incident with Chisenhall and Fuller not happened.

It seems like Destino is a similar ball player who has the tools to play any position at a high level.

Chisenhall was a great disappointment and unfortunately he was a great ballplayer who broke rules. I believe Chisenhall is playing in the Major Leagues todayl He could have been a great Gamecock!

Just imagine getting Gavin Floyd to Carolina and then Lonnie not getting the boot...

I sure hope so. When I see or hear the name "Chisenhall" I can't help but think what if? I saw him play one game at the Sarge, and he hit a ball in the gap that looked like it came out of a cannon. A line drive(10 feet off the ground) that one-hopped the wall and looked like it got there in about .5 seconds. Imagine that talent thrown into the middle of a line-up that already had Smoak, Havens, Darnell, and Disher. It's still hard to believe those guys never went to Omaha.
I am excited to see Destino play. Hopefully he will create alot of memories over at Carolina Stadium.

We should have fired Tanner when he couldn't get that team to Omaha. Or maybe not.

That team had some bombers in the middle of the line-up who put up some big power numbers. Our problem was we were terrible in "small ball". We struck out way too much and had too many of the other guys not named Smoak, Havens, Disher, and Darnell that wanted to swing for the fences as well, rather than just make contact and move runners etc.

I agree. That team had 4 cleanup hitters. Merrifield and Wingo weren't experienced enough in 2008 to make up for the deficiency.
