if you transfer ? It can’t be a good feeling to be recruited to a school and then sit the bench for 4 years with only mop up duty. Especially if u could contribute at another program.
 
Don't think your placement on the depth chart should affect your transfer status. JMHO.
 
It is fair with the current rules. The current rules are not and are ridiculous though. Coaches can bail out and coach the next year. Players should be able to do the same.

Kids, their parents and coaches are all to blame.

Kids going to programs believing they can contribute when they have recruited above and below them making it impossible to crack the lineup.

Parents for being concerned their kid is “D1” and turning down schools because they thought their kid was too good to go there.

Coaches because it’s really not fair to recruit kids you don’t believe will ever play, yet there are some on a roster every season that a knowledgeable fan knows will never be more than a practice player.
