Even the announcers mentioned it with hesitation about Luke Doty not being the best QB because Jason Brown played better.
Imagine throwing for 4 thousand yards in FCS just to transfer for your last year of eligibility just to sit the bench. Not going to happen.
Besides that he threw 2 great touchdowns to his childhood friend Jenkins. And a couple other passes way downfield on target that were dropped. And Shane Beamer loved it too on TV when he threw that last TD. Cool exchange between QB and Head Coach.
Also he looked good on TV standing there waiting on the plays and he had the best equipment swag; helmet style and sleeves and persona more than any other QB by far.
Only wish he was a True Freshman. People say you need a great QB to be good well we got one. Hopefully Shane Beamer can keep finding these Gems in the Transfer Portal or out of high school like Jason Brown! We are going to be just fine with him as QB! Get ready for shoot out football even if our defense can’t stop anybody!
