That has to be a real downer for Notre Dame fans. One of the best things about WBB is that players almost always stay for 4 years and you get to know them, even on the top teams.
 
After a quick look I'll answer my ownquestion:

The average salary of a WNBA player for the 2012 season was $72,000 while the league minimum rests just above $35,000 for rookies. Players with three or more years experience earn at least $51,000.

Not sure if that is worth leaving school for, especially ND
.
 
It's all about marketing yourself and endorsements. Just look at Skylar Diggins former ND player, she signed on with Nike and really puts herself out there. But I agree I think that degree is a lot better. Heck they girl from Minnesota declared too and she only played one year.
 
The money is made overseas. Yet, if she is able to play in the WNBA and overseas, she will be set.

Yep, Greiner is making like a million a season to play in China. I know she's considered elite though for a women's player.
