The wife and I attended this concert last night. Overall it was a very good show. The crowd was a little on the geriatric side, me included, but JM was entertaining, and his band was excellent. One of the Carter's, from Mother Mabel Carter fame (granddaughter) opened the show, and sang two songs with JM as well.

Someone asked about the Columbia show at The Township, which I did not attend. I assume both shows were identical, or very similar.

I won the tickets, which made the concert even better!!!

Thanks Bobby Hartin!!!!!!!!!

I saw him at the Coliseum back in 1982 or 1983, IIRC. He was known as John Cougar back then and he was the opening act for Heart. Excellent concert.

Friend of mine said the show was very good at the Township...I saw him at Blockbuster in Charlotte when he had 1st signed with Columbia- maybe the best show I have seen- front row, center. his band was great and they put a different spin on his hits that was just right. He threw his cigarette stub and it hit my wife's shoe- funny moment (had to be there)
