Apparently every top program in the country is going after him. Too much attention for an eighteen year old kid not to enjoy the process to the fullest.
Just confirms what some of you refuse to acknowledge. We are not an elite program and any cache SOS brought to the program is long gone.
I challenge you to name one regular on this board who said South Carolina is an elite program. Anytime there is bad news you should be called for intentionally piling on.
You must be a newbie. Just go through the list of the usual suspects who post regularly how the world fears us and how guys like Bobby Bowden called us a sleeping giant years ago. I LOL every time I read one of their inane posts.
I will repeat myself for you. Name one regular poster who has stated that we are an elite program. You make crap up. That's all you bring to the board.
I don't know how to search in this new format. Look it up if you know how to. But, you'll find it if you're brave enough to look.
Posters like you who live in dreamland, accepting mediocrity, are the reason SC has never excelled. Just read the other day that tickets sales are on last year's pace even though we went 7-6 and will likely do worse this year. SC fans by and large are sheep.

So what is your solution other than to generalize? Not support the teams because I am sure that will have positive results. It was going to be tough to hold onto him like others said when Alabama and everyone else is coming after you. Who wouldnt want that kind of attention. Not to mention his home state and all the pressure to play for them.

Or, it could be that we are recruiting good players that everyone else may want also.
I think it confirms the fact that SOS is done recruiting. He is proving himself washed up and ready to go play golf and drink his scotch.

Hold on, sir. I was making an innocent statement. No need to go pointing fingers. I am being civil here, just seems as if our coaching staff is taking a backseat in the recruiting game. You can't deny we have lost several recruits as of late. This one REALLY hurts though. He is a stud that would have helped us tremendously. I still wish Kyle all the best.

We can forget getting elite talent here until we have a new coach. Spurrier doomed himself with his comments. The only questions left to ask is how long will it take is how far down will he take us before he bails. Elite talent will be able to pick and choose, and they most likely won't choose a school with a head coach with one foot out the door. Sad but true.
