I get your point but I suspect if we build off this season the gap will be closed significantly soon. Paying coaches has not been our issue and Beamer is getting much more than he’s ever been paid elsewhere.

It's an interesting dilemma for Tanner. He's still hurting from mismanagement of Muschamp's compensation but I believe with the evolving salary evolution in the market he will have to act sooner rather than later. If I were he I would probably slot him in the 3-3.5 M range and site unprecedented market activity and the flirtation of Okl, whatever it truly was.

The coaching market will crash just like the housing market at some point. You can't sustain this type money flow all across America for college football coaches. These new deals will cause a ripple effect for a lot of schools. It's even more hilarious considering the whole nation supposedly lost billions over covid and these schools are supposedly broke because of no fans last year.
