Hello all and welcome to the game thread for tonight's game. Collyn Taylor here (not in Oxford) but pulling some double duty tonight. Here's the game thread, and it should be a lively one. Kick coming at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
It's been a...long week for fans, and tonight is a very important game for South Carolina. Gamecocks in desperate need of a win (and probably need to look good doing it) after being outscored 100-27 their last two games. They don't get a great matchup from a defensive side of things against a good Ole Miss offense but the offense does go against a bad Rebel defense.
A few connections here with Matt Lindsey the associate general manager at Ole Miss now. Lindsey spent a few years in a similar role at South Carolina and has a few former Gamecock staffers with him in Oxford.
Needless to say, though, Gamecocks desperately need this one.
