William Muschamp expected to address the media here in about five minutes (12:30 p.m.). Should address a host of topics today, so be prepared for some fun.

Updates will be in this post, and live video is below.

--Team is expecting a four quarter game. They're active at linebacker and they have talent at the quarterback position. Offensive line played their best game against Alabama last week. Rattles off a lot of a lot of names of skill guys and says they have a lot of respect for them.

"They're playing much improved up front defensively."

--Rico Dowdle has a sprained knee. Not sure of his availability for this weekend but he won't need surgery. Timetable still TBD. Still waiting on word on if AJ Turner will be available this weekend with a hamstring injury.

--Muschamp hasn't heard anything from the SEC on the officiating. He watched a lot of film after the Florida game then went home and watched Tennessee-Alabama to get a feel for that. Said he got a text from Greg Sankey Sunday night saying they were still in the review process. Said Ray Tanner has been working tirelessly to get some answers and neither of them are happy with what transpired Saturday.

--RJ Roderick has "done some nice things" in safety but needs to be more consistent in his performance. That's what needs to happen for him to take the next step in his game. He's got the tools to be really good. Said sometimes he gets ahead of himself for Roderick because he forgets he was a quarterback in high school.

--Ryan Hilinski was "sharp" throwing the football Tuesday. He needs to be more accurate but he'll battle through any ailments he has. This point in the year, everyone is probably is a little banged up.

--In terms of stretching the field vertically, it's just getting more guys reps. They certainly have the capabilities to hit.

"You change the complexion of the game if you hit one or two of those."

--Does Muschamp expect word back from the SEC? "I would hope so."

--Muschamp rattling off numbers about Sadarius Hutcherson. Said it's about finding guys like Hutcherson who haven't grown to their full potential. Hutcherson is "very bright, very intelligent."

--Asked about Jaycee Horn and Tennessee, said he doesn't focus much on other teams. It's about proving South Carolina is the right fit. Horn was a "low maintenance guy" in the recruitment process.

--Both guards have been really good in the run blocking. Need to continue to improve in the pass game but they've done some good things.

--Receiver splits are a big indicator a rub route is coming. Getting very technical in his response and says a lot goes into it. Communication is huge.

--No common thread on beating Tennessee year in and year out. Said every week is it's own season.

--Team needs to be more consistent throwing the football. Each Sunday they work on narrowing some things down. End of the day it's just executing on the field. They're trying to take those shots and it's about throwing the ball in tight areas. They're "certainly more than capable of doing them."

--Asked about Ryan Hilinski, said he's continued to mature and grown on the field and off the field. Said it's hard in season to really get better as a player when a guy is trying to prepare for other teams.

"What he's doing is difficult as a freshman in the Southeastern Conference...there's been more good moments than bad."
