Prediction is Mote Lee to be announced as new Baseball Skipper tomorrow. I guess , I would be happy with that hire.

That would be a great hire for CU! No doubt.

What this means is that Holbrook better step up his game or he will be finding another job soon. No way Tanner will let CU become the premier baseball program of the State on his watch.

He shouldn't.

Hey guys worst case senerio is if Holbrook doesn't straighten the ship in the next couple of years we just go up their and steal Tanner's boy back from Clemson. That's when the rivalry really heats up.

Looks like your prediction was wrong. I've never seen so much misinformation over JUST AN INTERVEIW. Interviews are set up with several more candidates over the weekend and into next week. Even Clemson insider Larry Williams said nothing announced before late next week.

This is correct. I heard tonight that Monte Lee is not the first choice.

CLEMSON, S.C. -

TigerIllustrated.com's Larry Williams reports that Clemson officials interviewed College of Charleston head coach Monte Lee Friday for the head baseball coaching position that came open when Jack Leggett was fired last week after 22 seasons.

Clemson assistant Bradley Lecroy will reportedly interview this weekend.

Former Clemson outfielder and Drive manager Billy McMillon is among others who've emerged and is expected to interview Monday when he has a scheduled day off from his current job as manager of the Red Sox' AA affiliate in Portland, Maine. McMillon is a Palmetto State native and still has family here.

Maryland head coach John Szevc and Virginia assistant Kevin McMullan are also expected to interview next week.

Williams reports the search could be concluded as early as late next week.

I may be a few days off on the announcement, but I hear it is still happening. I think all Monte has to do is formally accept. I do think until he does there will be interviews.
