Did it with a long KO TD and a long punt return TD. Still Iowa State is not near as good as predicted, nor is their QB Purdy.

ND 10. DUKE 6 HALF.

Big 12 having a rough day. Perhaps they don’t deserve a spot in the CFP this year, even with only three P5 conferences.

Probably will end up sending OU again for them to get blown out again, making the Big 12 0-5 in the CFP.

Texas state punt returner is amazing
Good game.
UTSA 41. Texas state 41

Watch the Texas and OU scores tonight and see if you still feel that way. You won't say Clemson and FSU don't deserve a spot just because most of the rest is crap.

Well, some people will, but I won't be one of them. A team can't help it if its league is crap. Teams have a chance to validate themselves in the playoffs. That is where deservedness becomes indisputable.

I’d hate to see it, but you guys should go after Napier hard after you fire Champ. He’s not gonna be available long. Plus, there’s a little bad blood between him and Dabs.

Texas qb Ehlinger has 453 passing yards, 5 TD passes, no ints, IN THE FIRST HALF. Texas up 45-3 at the half. Oklahoma final is a 48-0 win. Both Texas and OU can beat any team in the nation. OU has two Heisman QB winners lately, but they are starting a freshman 5-star named Rattler that will be the best of the lot. First game he was 7 for 7 in his first 7 passes with 3 TDs. If you like the name Rattler for a football player, Ehlinger's fifth TD pass was to a guy named Kai "Mo" Money.

You getting all this from watching them play Mizz state and UTEP? Lol

My point isn’t just contingent on “tonight” but the first six years of the CFP where the best of the Big 12 is 0-4 and rarely competitive with the elite. And haven’t won a championship in 15 years.

Will be more meaningful to brag in January after smashing Bama, Clemsux, LSU or UGa instead in September playing wildly overmatched UTEP and MO State.

The other poster was wanting to exclude Texas and OU from the playoffs because the dregs of the Big 12 lost games they shouldn't have to teams not as good as UTEP or MO State. It is fair to point out in response that Texas and OU destroyed their competition, just like Texas destroyed Georgia in the Sugar Bowl year before last.

Texas won in 2005 which is in the last 15 years. How many has the Pac-10 won in that period? Zero. How many the Big Ten? One, tied with the Big 12. The SEC has won 10 of the last 15, so there is no reason to single out the Big 12 when the power 5 conference totals are Pac-10 (0), Big 12 (1), Big Ten (1) and ACC (3). With FSU losing in bad fashion already, it is pretty obvious the only non-SEC teams with a shot at the championship are Texas, OU, Clemson, Notre Dame (though they looked bad tonight), maybe North Carolina. It is silly for you to try to exclude two of the best three non-SEC teams from the playoffs.

You know they are howling in Tallahassee today, although they were not among the contenders. But that was another bad, bad loss for a marquee program.
