not because of last year's 7-6 record or soon to be this year's 3-9 record , Spurrier needs to retire because of the mess created with the recruiting program. If he stays next year, losing Cooper alone will cripple us and by staying on, we lose current commits and will not be attractive to many prospects in 2016. With an attractive new hire we immediately chance our perception with prospects and hopefully get a good young coach and staff that will recruit hard and know how to coach modern college football. All it takes is someone like Florida hired.

Agreed, the main reason we need a change is our football program stinks, when that happens you don't keep flushing millions of dollars in salaries to coaches,

I'm with you. Tanner is in a tough spot. Spurrier knows his time is up but if selfishly stays after this season then he cares more about collecting checks than trying to right this ship. He & his staff have dropped the ball tremendously on the recruiting trail & there's really no way to correct that with the current assistants he has right now. His son Jr has failed as recruiting coordinator & our OL coach seems hell bent on recruiting 2 star lineman. We are a mediocre team right now & we need new leadership to turn this thing around. That's my take on it
