Marcus was and is still a very popular Gamecock!! I would love to see him coaching in some sought of capacity, but mainly as a recruiter. With him being not much older than the recruits, he could relate to most of them. Not to far removed from college most of them probably seen him play.

I think he would be a remarkable recruiter, but in an era where people willingly lie to recruits (I'm looking at you Dabo) I wonder if he would be too honest. Anyway, he would be a positive influence for the team.

That's just it. Recruits respect honesty. They don't want anyone lieing to them, telling them what they wanna hear. I feel like they would trust what he's telling them and not sugarcoat it.

That's a nice thought, but the liars seem to recruit better for some reason. Most do seem to want to be told "what they wanna hear." I read about recruits all the time who say such and such coach or school "showed me love". I think you've got to be honest because that's the right thing to do, but you've also got to have a little bit of salesman in you to recruit effectively.

Great idea, Marcus as a full time coach! Wonder if he can coach hitting a baseball?

Marcus is not a college graduate. He could not be coaching without a degree.

He's working on his degree right now. I can't imagine he has too many credits left... I'd assume he'll be a graduate by Christmas, but I could be wrong.

Marcus Lattimore will be a success no matter what he does! His attitude and personality will take him far in life no matter what he decides to do....

He's a great, great guy

Marcus gave one of the best interviews I've ever seen from a Gamecock. When the SEC network broadcast our spring game, they had Marcus in the booth for comments. His responses to their questions were on point and delivered in an intelligent fashion. Very impressive. I'd have him out front as an employee and as a recruiter asap.

I heard Marcus speak at the local FCA banquet a few weeks ago. He was pretty adamant that coaching is not in his future plans.
